DKM SET TO RACE INTO THE 2021 SEASON ENTRIES OPEN FEBRUARY!

The German kart Championship (DKM) has laid the foundation for the new 2021 season. By confirming their five round plan, it will be included in the international sports calendar of FIA kart again, with four levels of title line – DKM (OK), djkm (OKJ), dskm (kz2) and dskc (kz2 cup). This year there is a significant change to the normal competition schedule format, allowing all participants the opportunity to compete on Sunday, plus late entrants will now be accepted until the actual DKM event two weeks ago.

In addition, the German electric kart Championship (dekm) and the Rotax project E20 ekart “arrive and drive the bag” once again become part of the competition. Last year’s launch of the second generation powertrain, now produced by technology partner BRP Rotax in Austria, is very convincing and offers an exciting season for karts in 2020.

In this challenging period, DKM continues to make personal health and safety a priority. The successful health concept launched in this series last year will be strengthened and reused in 2021. Everyone participating in the event will get a registered safedi transponder to help track contacts more effectively.

After interrupting a short series due to the corona pandemic in 2020, the organization plans to restart full programming at five alternative venues, providing a huge contrast to the competition. The famous more traditional erftlanding in western Germany’s Kerpen will start this season’s race in early May, prior to DKM’s head in waksdorf’s highly rated prokart circuit, where the leading FIA go kart European shift kart championship and academy trophy were held two weeks later.

Kart Genk hosted the only round outside the country in the halfway mark series; although the impressive Belgian track became a victim of the epidemic last year when the DKM was cancelled. The latest track, located in the eastern part of Saxony, Myerson, premiered the fourth edition, while eventually heading south to end the season at schwepermanning, Anping.

Stefan Wagner, DKM series Coordinator – we’re happy to show you an interesting calendar and great repertoire again! When choosing dates, it is important not to have any conflict with major international and national series. We managed to ensure that, which makes DKM an attractive option.

Our successful health philosophy will be used again, as will the extensive live and social media coverage of all our events.
