Opening, the group of the Junior Rok GP with Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi (107) leading the race, unfortunately both he and Terry James O’Conner (121) retire on lap 14, but Bhirombhakdi, thanks to the excellent previous placements, won the Rok Cup Thailand 2020 title in the Junior Rok GP
The Final Mini  Rok got off to a spectacular start, a mid-race breakaway by Jitranuwath (99) and Vliegen (35) meant it was between them to take final victory in 2020. In the last lap it was Vliegen who took the lead and his first victory in a ROK final race ahead of Champion  Jitranuwath

MINI ROK AND ROOKIE ROK

There are a total of 25 drivers who entered the Mini Rok class, and 14 of them entered Rookie Rok (7-10 years old), which shows that young drivers are very interested in this sport! Chanoknan Veeratacha leads the standings Aki Jitranuwath and Taiyo Vliegen by a narrow margin (0.074 seconds). In Rookie Rok, Pojcharaphon Kempetch is the fastest player, ranking seventh overall.

After winning the Heat, it was Jitranuwath who led the race at the beginning of the pre-finals and continued to fight Veeratacha until the final lap. However, Jitranuwath won the preliminaries and won the 2020 World Cup in Korea. After these two, there was an exciting battle between Rayan Caretti, Vliegen, female drivers Sirikon Klaewkrua and Nathakorn Suksri. Later, Carretti was demoted due to a fine for the front fairing. Kemphetch was the best player to win the rookie title for the last time, ahead of the leaderboard Jirayu Rachatamethakul, who failed to complete the game in the heat.

The finals started with the top players in the pre-finals and made an impressive start, and everyone showed the potential to win. Jitranuwath and Vliegen’s midfield separation means that they will achieve a final victory in 2020. In the final lap, Vliegen took the lead in victory and led the champion Jitranuwath in the final race in Korea. Behind them, the fight for third place was equally exciting, with Caretti ahead of Suksri and Klaekrua to finish third. The rookie Rachatamethakul had an impressive season, won, ranked 6th overall, and won the championship ahead of Kempetch and Panyakorn Amramrassamee.

JUNIOR ROK AND ROOKIES JUNIOR

The mini car driver Veeratacha also entered the junior class, which did not attract people’s attention! Like Minirok qualifying, he took pole position with the same advantage (0.074)! Achievement is remarkable. Behind him are Terry James O’Connor and Touch Jornsai in P2 and P3. Rookie junior team leader Ratcharat Ananthakan confirmed his determination to win the championship by publishing the fastest lap.

For the pre-finals, O’Connor ranked first after the Heat won the championship. He and the leader of the standings Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi played side by side. He only needs a few points to win the championship. The order of the front row in the competition remained unchanged, which meant that Bhirombhakdi won the title of Junior Championship. In third place, Jornsai is still competing with female driver Sitarvee Limnantharak for the runner-up in the series. In another win in the rookie group, Ananthakan also scored enough points to win the championship. Bhirombhakdi’s good start put him ahead of Kittinut Lueangarunchai in the final, who started from the last position in the final after having trouble in qualifying. In most games, these two and O’Connor are in third place.

However, a few laps before the end of the race, O’Connor rose to second place and tried to gain the lead. Unfortunately, he collided with Bhirombhakdi, causing both drivers to withdraw from the race. This allowed Lueangarunchai to make his debut, but shortly after the game ended, he was disqualified for technical reasons. In the end, Norrarat Apivart (Norrarat Apivart) was announced as the winner of the last youth final of the season, ahead of Jon Race (won the P2 championship in the championship) and Veeratacha.

ROK CUP THAILAND 2020 WAS ALTHOUGH ALL UNCERTAINTIES DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AN EXCITING AND CHALLENGING YEAR. IT WILL NOW GO IN TO A WINTER BREAK AND WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE ABLE TO WELCOME INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS AGAIN!

Ananthakan showed that he has surpassed the status of “rookie” by winning another victory and his title. Piyawat Chaiya followed in second place, ahead of Frederick Wattanapong Bennett.

SENIOR ROK / MASTER/ NOVICE

Supakit Jentranun took the pole position at 55.263 per hour. In this circuit layout, the lap time is the fastest Korean Cup ever. In second place is Carl Wattana Bennett and local karting ace Jarute Jonvisat. In the master class (over 32 years old), Kittipol Pramoj created an impressive 55.853, which is the fastest in his class. Pramoj is the only driver who has scored enough points to win the Masters before the current round. The novice pole position was taken over by Apaspong Premanond.

Jentranun continued to win the Heat and the finals, followed by Jonvisat and Bennett. In the master class, Pramoje won, but more players showed a pace that matched the senior ace. Jukka Koivistoinen is in second place.

Premanond also won an early game before Supakit Abyim.

When the lights went out in the final, Jentranun had no doubt that someone could beat him that day. With a dominant victory, he also won the 2020 South Korean Senior Championship. Behind him, the fierce battle between Jonvisat, Bennett and Thitisorn Junsuwan evolved into a runner-up, with the three drivers finishing in the same order The game. There is no doubt that Pramoj won the master class again before Koivistoinen and Partomporn Rachsingho.
