For beginners, it is not difficult to make the go-kart move and run the whole track, but how to run the whole course faster and smoother, and get the pleasure of driving. How to drive a good kart, really is a skill.

What is go-kart?

Before learning how to drive a go-kart well, a beginner needs to really know what a go-kart is. This seemingly simple problem is the basis of a good go-kart. Do you really know anything about go-kart?

According to the technical regulations issued by the international karting commission (CIK). Go-kart refers to a single-seat mini racing car driven by a small gasoline engine or electric motor with a maximum diameter of less than 350mm and a total height of less than 650mm away from the ground (excluding headrest). The front wheel is guided, the rear wheel is driven, the differential speed device and shock absorbers are provided, and the four wheels are in constant contact with the ground.

Due to the smaller models, car only 4 cm from the ground, the players feel faster than the actual speed increased by 2 to 3 times of karting, 50 kilometers an hour, will make players feel family car is similar to that of a 100 to 150 kilometers per hour, so fast players to overcome the psychological fear, in fact not you think so fast.

When a go-kart turns, it produces a lateral acceleration similar to that of an F1 car when it turns (about 3-4 times the force of gravity). But thanks to the ultra-low chassis, as long as the seat belt is buckled and the hands are tight, there is no danger of a traditional car, so beginners can experience as close as possible to the extreme speed of the corners, feel the excitement of driving on the track that is completely invisible in normal driving.

Karting driving skills

General recreational karting track will be U – bend, S – bend, high – speed bend three composition. Each circuit not only has different width and length, but also has different characteristics and combinations of straight and corners, so route selection is very important. Below we will briefly understand the three corners of the curve skills and matters needing attention.

High speed bend: before entering the bend as close as possible to the outside, aim at the bend, close to the bend through. Give oil before and after the center of the bend. Some high-speed corners even allow full throttle to pass.

U bend: also known as hairpin turn, whether to take late brake focus into the corner speed (into the corner Angle is large, out of the corner Angle is small) or early brake focus out of the corner speed (into the corner Angle is small, out of the corner Angle is large) is ok. It is important to control the body posture, pay attention to the cooperation of the brake and throttle, or will understeer or oversteer.

S bend:In the S curve, try to maintain a uniform speed, to close to a straight line through the way, before entering the curve to reduce to the appropriate speed, the pine oil through the center, not blind oil and brake, or will lose balance in the curve, affect the line and out of the curve speed.
